A Little Woodland Theater | Sculptural Ceramics
A pair of Portuguese majolica goblets with twisting, branch-like stems, textured green bases, and applied botanical details. Mottled glazes distinguish the two bowls, while green interiors tie the richly modeled forms together.
Display them in a cabinet of curiosities or alongside books and simpler pottery, where their unexpected details can invite a closer look. At just four inches tall, they bring a wonderfully imaginative touch of the woodland to a small shelf or tabletop.
Each: 2.5” Diameter x 4” H
Circa 1870 | Portugal
Glazed Majolica
Palissy Style, in the Manner of Manuel Mafra
Pair of Decorative Goblets
Condition: Good, with wear consistent with age and use.
